STI Panel Max

What is it?
The NexGen Biotech STI Panel Max is an advanced multiplex PCR assay designed for the comprehensive detection of a broader range of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including more elusive or co-infecting pathogens. This panel is ideal for complex clinical cases where patients present with multiple or persistent infections. Unlike the STI Panel Light, which focuses on the most common STIs, the STI Panel Max is engineered for high-throughput laboratories and specialized clinics dealing with complex STI cases, particularly in high-risk or immunocompromised patient populations.

Target and Specimen Type

• Target Pathogens: Detects a comprehensive list of over 15 pathogens, including Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Mycoplasma genitalium, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Treponema pallidum, and Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1/2).
• Specimen Types: Validated for cervical swabs, urethral swabs, urine, rectal swabs, and oropharyngeal swabs, making it suitable for diagnosing complex cases with multiple transmission routes.
